Located at an altitude of 1,961 meters, it shows the snow storage site on the summit for transport to the capital. Men would accumulate snow inside the well to transport it to the San Martín Hospital for therapeutic purposes. Later, it began to be used to make ice cream.
La Hoya del Gamonal, El Roque, and La Cruz del Saucillo constitute a protected natural landscape within the summit area, of extraordinary beauty and intrinsic value due to the variety of endemic species they contain.
