Vega de San Mateo is located in the central-northern area of the island of Gran Canaria, about 21 km from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, heading inland into the mountains.

How to get there by car from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria:

1. Leave Las Palmas via the GC-4, heading towards Tafira / Santa Brígida / San Mateo.

2. Continue on the GC-4 (it is a mountain road with many curves, but well paved).

3. You will pass through towns such as Monte Lentiscal and Santa Brígida, continuing uphill towards San Mateo.

4. When you reach La Lechuza, follow the signs to Vega de San Mateo.

5. You will see clear signs, and be surrounded by green areas, orchards, and volcanic landscapes.

Estimated time: 35-45 minutes from downtown Las Palmas.

Public transport:

You can take a guagua (bus) from Las Palmas:

• Line 303 or 305 from Global (transport company).

• Departs from San Telmo station.

• The journey takes between 50-60 minutes.
