The main festival of La Vega is celebrated. The highlight of this festival is the pilgrimage on the eve of the festival, with floats from all neighborhoods bringing offerings to the patron saint, all dressed in traditional attire and performing traditional dances.
It is worth noting that the election of the "Pilgrims Mayores" (Major Pilgrims) of the festival takes place. The best-dressed boy and girl are chosen to become the town's pilgrims for a year.
The main day, which attracts a lot of attention apart from the religious services, is the procession and subsequent cattle parade, with the corresponding trophy or prize for the best animals.
In the afternoon, the famous horse races are also held.
